English translation of Fourth kalima

(There is) none worthy of worship except Allah. He is only One. (There is) no partners for Him. For Him (is) the Kingdom. And for Him (is) the Praise. He gives life and causes death. And He (is) Alive. He will not die, never, ever. Possessor of Majesty and Reverence. In His hand (is) the goodness. And He (is) the goodness. And He (is) on everything powerful.

Tawhid in Holy Quran:

The word Tawhid has been mentioned in the Holy Quran in various places. For example, Allah says in Surah Al-Ikhlas:

“He is Allah, the One and Only; Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begets not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him.” [Quran 112:1-4]

The inference of this surah is

The perfect qualities of our Lord and Creator are revealed in this verse. We can see His power and majesty in His creations, but only He can understand His true nature. We must never forget that any notions or images of Him as a partner are false. He neither gave birth to anyone nor anyone gave birth to him. No one is like him; He is unique.

IMPORTANCE OF Tawhid in lights of hadith

Tawhidis not merely a word that we recite. Instead, it’s a declaration that should impact our hearts and change our lives. When we truly believe and understand that there is only One Allah, it will naturally follow that we live our lives according to His laws. This means worshipping Him alone and shunning all other false deities, whether idols, humans or jinns. We must also make an effort to please Him through our words and deeds, knowing that only He has the power to help or harm us.

As Muslims, we must know and recite the Kalimas as they contain the core beliefs of our religion. They guide and remind us how we should lead our lives according to Islam. The fourth Kalima-e-Tauheed instils in us a love for Allah and hatred for everything else besides Him, i.e., shirk (associating partners with Him). It reminds us to be grateful to Him for His bounties and to turn to Him in all our affairs, big or small, as He alone has ultimate control over everything.

Narrated Mu’adh bin Jabal:
