In which para is surah al maun
Surah Maun, also known as “The Small Kindnesses”, is the 107th surah of the Quran. It is a short surah consisting of only 7 verses. Surah maun is in the Last Para (Amma Yatasa’aloon (عَمَّ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ)) of the Quran.

- There was a tradition among many disbelievers that when an orphan came to them in a poor state to ask for something, they pushed him out. This act is very heartless and a great sin for everyone, but mentioning the disbelievers, it is pointed out that this work is initially for the unbelievers; that is, he would help a poor person, but he would not encourage others, it cannot be expected of a Muslim.
- These Ayahs stated those who are Negligent in prayer include those not performing it correctly or at all.
- Surah Maun also highlights hypocrites’ characteristics: they offer prayers only to show off and pretend that they are pious. They are not.
- These characteristics belonged to the hypocrites. Even if there were no hypocrites in Makkah, where this Surah was revealed, since the Holy Qur’an states general rules, and such hypocrites were to be born in the future, these sins are mentioned.
- The minor thing is that the word “Ma’un” in the Holy Quran has been translated; after this word, the name of the surah is Maun. Ma’un refers to the trivial things that the neighbors usually ask each other to Take, like pots, etc., and consider every kind of trivial thing as Ma’un.
- Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and other Companions interpreted it with Zakat because it is also a tiny part of a person’s wealth (fortieth) part. And Hazrat Abdullah Bin Masoud Radi Allahu Anhu has explained it as follows: Hazrat Abdullah Bin Masoud Radiyallahu Anhu has interpreted this as saying that If a neighbor person asks for something to eat from another person, he denies giving.
